FALL(ing) in love with my life!

I love FALL!!! I love this time of the year. I have all of my Fall decorations out in my house and look forward to Thanksgiving with my family! I am a decorator by nature. I am continually changing my house around, decorating, and sometimes I think that drives my family crazy! Because of having a blended family, we have all 5 of our children either on Thanksgiving or Christmas each year. This year we have them all on Christmas. This year however, Morgan is bringing some friends without family to our home for Thanksgiving. I am looking forward to meeting her friends and spending such a wonderful holiday with them.I am so thankful for so many blessings in my life. God has been good to me. I look at my family and I can't believe how wonderful it is, how grown up my children are. I am proud of my family...every single member. My prayer for them is that God will continue to bless them in the ways that he has been and they will recognize those blessings from God and worship in him, thank him, love him, and live to please him.Everyday I continue FALL(ing) in love with my life....

MEET MY FAMILY

I must first start with my wonderful husband Scott. He has been my best friend and husband now for 11 years. There hasn't been one day during those 11 years where he has not filled my heart with love. We live in a small town in Iowa where my husband is Mayor. He does a wonderful job at running our little town. I have so much respect for him and how well he works with community members for the betterment of our small but delightful city. He also works full time for an Insurance company as a Machinery and Equipment Inspector. His training for this job came from several years spent in the Navy in which he served during the Gulf War. He was submariner. I love how much he loves this Country that we live in. He's my Sailor!

My daughter Morgan is 19, will be 20 on Jan. 21st. She is beautiful on the inside and out! She was a very special gift from God and I have always said that he had some wonderful plans in store for her because we almost and should have lost her at birth. I was told by our physician that she was a medical miracle! Morgan is in her 2nd year of college and is studying to be a Teacher. Morgan loves children and I think that any child that she mentors will be a lucky one.

My son Cody is 18. He is currently a Senior in high school. Growing up, Cody was always right there by my side. If I didn't feel good he would climb up and cuddle with me in bed until I was all better. Cody has a very tender heart and sometimes wears it on his sleeve. Cody reminds me a lot of myself, he likes to live life to the fullest and maybe sometimes a little too close to the edge. He is my only boy and I love him with all of my heart. Cody is planning on attending college next fall and studying Criminal Justice and becoming a police officer.

Sydney is my baby girl. She will be 14 in March. She is a great combination of Morgan and Cody. She is loving, kind hearted, but also tough, out spoken, and doesn't mind saying exactly what she is thinking. She is full of fire.........just like her mommy. Sydney is very focused on school and plans to be a Veterinarian when she grows up. Sydney takes gymnastics and is very passionate about cheerleaing. I love watching her turn into such a beautiful young lady.

I also have two step children, Jessica (almost 17) and Alex (14). Jessi and Alex live in Wisconsin and visit us every other weekend and 6 weeks during the summer months. Jessi is a Junior this year. She loves to participate in Cheerleading and Gold. Alex is in 8th grade and he loves to participate in football. We always love when Jessi and Alex visit. Never a dull moment. It is always a blessing to have all of us in the same place at the same time.
